Bikesure offers "mini-websites" for dealers

Specialist broker aims to set new standard with latest Dealer Affiliate Scheme offer

"Bikesure’s scheme really helps us do business" – Barry Dickson, Taz Motorcycles

Bikesure has taken dealer affiliate schemes to a new level with the launch of mini-websites or landing pages for every dealer who joins the company’s scheme. What it means is that customers visiting the Bikesure site land on a page that’s about the dealer, as much as about insurance. The page also stresses to customers the importance of quoting the dealer’s reference, to help ensure any commission due is received.

From the dealer’s point of view the scheme is easy to run – because it’s automatic. When a customer clicks through to the dealer’s page on the Bikesure site and subsequently takes out insurance the dealer earns £30 commission per policy. The system automatically assigns the fee to the appropriate dealer.

Barry Dickson of Taz Motorcycles, Peterborough, is delighted with the Bikesure Affiliate Scheme and the support it gives. "The POS material and online support are first class," he says. "Moving over to Bikesure has been great for Taz. We spent plenty of time weighing up the options to find the best. They give excellent customer service, their quotes are fantastic and they email cover notes to us promptly.

"They’ve speeded up our sales process, which really helps us do business."
Bikesure covers the cost of the web design for the dealer’s mini-site and the company is happy to include maps, information such as contact details and opening times, and any images the dealer wants to feature.

Robert Balls of Bikesure says: "The reaction we’re getting from dealers and their customers has been totally upbeat – the pages are a great way to underline the partnership between the dealer and ourselves, giving the customer a positive vibe as well as a real service."

Customers normally reach the dealer’s landing page by clicking through from the dealer’s own site (Bikesure has a range of banners and buttons that dealers can incorporate into their website). Alternatively they can key in the landing page’s own web address direct. Bikesure provides each dealer who joins the scheme with free cards and leaflets that include the URL, for them to hand out to their customers or to display in the showroom.

Bikesure’s online referral scheme runs in parallel with the company’s telephone referral scheme – so customers have a choice of arranging insurance by phone or via the web. Either way, Bikesure pays the dealer the commission fee. Dealers can track how well their online scheme is doing by logging in to their personal affiliate homepage, to see how many clicks and sales their customers have generated.
